Allan Conlan Hall of Fame

Extract from Basketball Ireland website:

On October 19th 2019 there was a major celebration for Dubliner Allan Conlan, who was inducted into the Plymouth State Hall of Fame.

Conlan was first introduced to the game in St Declan's College in Cabra under the guidance of Liam Hartigan (former teacher, basketball coach and principal) and he quickly blossomed into a star player. Through a connection with the New England Colonials, Allan and his teammates got to tour the USA and compete against the top talent in New England. Having seen that he could compete in the States, Conlan went on an exchange year to Oyster River High School in New Hampshire where he led his team to the State championship.

Having shown his talent Plymouth State gave Conlan an opportunity to compete at the collegiate level and he again excelled. In his four year career he became the leading rebounder in school history, an honour he still holds, and also finished 6th on the all time scoring list (he is now 11th). During his time at Plymouth State the school secured it’s first ever at large birth in the NCAA tournament and he was recognized on the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America District I team in 1996.

Congratulations to Allan on an incredible career and a wonderful Hall of Fame honour.
