Congratulations to Dáire and Cillian Howard for their strong performances last weekend at the English Open Taekwon-Do championships in Guildford.
The two boys were part of the Irish junior squad who travelled to the championships on the 11th and 12th of March 2023. Cillian (3 Hamilton) pushed himself past his current level and took a gold medal in sparring, while Dáire (3 Carolan) took home a silver in sparring and a bronze in special technique. Both boys are currently training for the European championships in Jesolo, Italy, in April.
This follows on from their performance at the Bulgarian Taekwon-Do Open, in Plovdiv last November. They achieved their goals at the time and were rewarded with two bronze medals. (Dáire in the sparring section, Cillian in patterns).
It is wonderful to see their dedication to Taekwon-Do and witness their improvement with each successive competition.
