West Leinster Track and Field - Day 1
Tuesday, 25th April
Our students travelled to Tullamore Harriers Stadium to compete in day 1 of the West Leinster Track and Field Championships.
Students represented St Declan’s in the following events: 100m sprints, hurdles, 1500m, relay, high jump, triple jump, shot putt and javelin. It was great to see the school crest representing our school in so many disciplines.
Well done to all students who competed.
A special congratulations to Chibuikem Onwumereh who came first in the Senior Boys 100m and took home the gold medal.
Also, a special congratulations to Emmanuel Akinrolie who came third in the Senior Boys 100m and took home the bronze medal.
All in all, it was a very successful day of athletics.
Best of luck to our students who will be competing in events on day 2 of the West Leinster Track and Field Championships this Thursday.
